Description:
Our client is looking for an ICT Technician to join their team. You will be the go-to person for all things tech.
From troubleshooting desktop issues to managing their network and supporting key applications like the ERP and other platform, your expertise will be essential.
You'll also have the opportunity to train staff, contribute to the website and social media presence, and explore new tech solutions. This is a hands-on role with a chance to truly make an impact.
Duties:
Desktop Support: Solve computer, network, printer, and software problems for our Cape Town team and remotely assist our other branches. Install hardware and software, and provide training.
Security: Manage content filtering and backups to keep our data safe.
Application Support: Provide expert support for Microsoft Office, our ERP (Business Central), and our FoodShare platform (training, troubleshooting, testing).
Network Management: Maintain network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and cabling.
Web & Social Media: Contribute to our website, social media, and online donation platforms.
ICT Administration: Manage equipment inventory, maintain helpdesk records, and ensure compliance with ICT policies.
Database Management: Work with MySQL databases, including writing queries and ensuring data integrity.
Business Intelligence: Support Power BI reporting, ensuring data accuracy and availability
Qualifications / skills
Relevant ICT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are required.
A+ and Network+ certifications are a plus.
5-7 years of experience in a similar ICT role.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
Experience with remote support and network management.
MySQL scripting experience is essential.
Excellent communication and training skills.
A passion for technology and the non-profit sector.
Driver's license is required.
