This role facilitates strategic decision-making through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Financial Planning and Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for the Print Division.
- Compile and present monthly sales reports.
- Assist with flash results queries and variance analyses.
- Prepare and submit monthly management packs.
- Ensure all group reporting deadlines are met, including month-end, budgets, audits, and forecasts.
Machine and Labour Rates
- Assist the Financial Manager in calculating machine and labor rates.
Audits
- Support external auditors with relevant information for annual audits.
- Assist the Financial Manager with audit deliverables and respond to auditor requests within agreed time frames
Budgets
- Ensure adherence to all budget timelines.
- Assist in preparing and consolidating sales budgets.
- Budget specific general ledger accounts by department and region.
- Support the preparation of rebates budgets.
Forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc forecasts for the business unit.
Asset Management
- Prepare capital expenditure justifications.
- Assist with fixed asset verification in collaboration with factory department heads.
Treasury
- Verify accuracy of banking details and payment reconciliations before financial manager approval.
Projects
- Support special financial projects as required.
- Assist with ad hoc financial requests from the Financial Manager.
Financial and ERP Systems
- Import monthly sales data into the ERP system.
- Generate and analyze sales reports.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum of a B.Comm or equivalent qualification.
- CIMA qualification (or progress towards completion) is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of database structures.
- 3 to 5 years of management accounting and financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
