Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Head of Revenue to drive our sales strategy in the USA, UK, and EU. Based in Johannesburg, this role focuses on scaling international sales, optimizing strategy, and leading a growing team of Business Development Associates, Business Development Managers, and Marketing. Proven success in these markets is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Define and refine the sales strategy for international markets, focusing on the USA, UK, and EU.
Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy addressing market-specific needs and growth opportunities.
Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, ensuring the company’s revenue goals are met and exceeded.
Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to align commercial activities with overall business goals.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, including Business Development Executives and Business Development Managers.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance management to ensure individual and team success.
Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the sales team.
Customer Acquisition & Growth:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target international markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
Oversee the development of tailored proposals and pitches that address client needs and showcase the brand's unique value proposition.
Implement efficient onboarding and client management processes to drive customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Market Expansion & Business Development:
Identify new market trends, opportunities, and challenges in international logistics and compliance.
Develop partnerships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and strategic partners to increase market
penetration.
Actively represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand visibility and
credibility.
Sales Operations & Performance:
Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent and transparent reporting on sales performance and progress.
Implement sales processes and tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Ensure that sales activities comply with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in logistics, compliance, or a related field.
Proven success in selling into international markets, particularly the USA, UK, and EU.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and scaling sales teams.
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at the executive level.
Knowledge of logistics, tax compliance, and supply chain management is highly desirable.
