Main Function & Culture:

As a Data Developer , you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data systems that drive strategic decision-making. You will work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment , collaborating with a team of experts to enhance voter and campaign data management through advanced analytics, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools.

Qualifications:

âï¸ Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
âï¸ 5+ years of experience in software development.
âï¸ Experience in software systems design and architecture.

Requirements:

âï¸ Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous).
âï¸ Strong programming skills and problem-solving abilities.
âï¸ Experience with data warehouses and ETL pipeline development.
âï¸ Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience (dashboarding & visualization).
âï¸ MongoDB experience (advantageous).
âï¸ Excellent planning, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
âï¸ Ability to work effectively under demanding schedules, including irregular hours.

Key Responsibilities:

ð¹ Data System Development – Collaborate with development teams to design and build software systems for voter and campaign data.
ð¹ Ad-Hoc Reporting & Data Queries – Generate reports and data insights as needed.
ð¹ Data Warehouse Development – Build and integrate data from multiple sources into a centralised system.
ð¹ ETL Pipeline Development – Design and manage data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
ð¹ Business Intelligence & Visualisation – Create dashboards and tools to support campaign management and decision-making.
ð Location: Cape Town – Federal Head Office (On-Site).
