Description:

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Northern Cape. You will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects within the facilities management infrastructure, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, procurement, resources, and communication with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with all regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets and ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality and timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor and manage construction activities, identifying and mitigating risks that could affect project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project schedules, progress reports, change orders, and final reports.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues that arise.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety, and environmental sustainability, are met on all projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, senior management, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve concerns.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring clear communication and a positive work environment.
  • Manage project close-out, including final inspection, financial reconciliation, and client handover.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, particularly within facilities management or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with construction regulations, contracts, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications is a plus.
  • Understanding of the latest construction technologies and practices.

Working Conditions:

  • Based in North Cape (NC) with regular site visits.
  • May require occasional travel and extended working hours during critical project phases.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor construction environment, including variable weather conditions.
