Manufacturing TechnicianLocation: Killarney Gardens and/or BrackenfellReports to: Factory Engineer Our client is a Cape Town-based company that specialises in the design, manufacture, and marketing of premier quality, functional stainless steel wire products. They are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join their team. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring the smooth running of production processes and maintaining the highest standards of quality. What You Will Do- Work with Machines: Set up and operate manufacturing equipment.
- Check Quality: Look at products during and after production to make sure they are good.
- Fix Problems: Help fix machines when they don’t work properly.
- Keep Records: Write down production numbers and report any issues.
- Help with Materials: Organise raw materials and tools for production.
- Do Maintenance: Clean and check machines to keep them in good condition.
- Follow Safety Rules: Wear safety gear and make sure your workspace is safe.
- Supervision: Lead and assist a group of factory employees
- Technical Skills: Know how to use tools and read simple technical drawings.
- Good Attention to Detail: Check work carefully to ensure high quality.
- Teamwork: Work well with other people in the factory.
- Physical Strength: Be able to stand for long periods and lift materials if needed.
- Experience: Previous work in a factory or with machines is a plus but not required.
